We Fight Fires

Firefighters at Monrovia Volunteer Fire Rescue are both mentally and physically prepared to keep life and property safe from a variety of dangers, especially fires. No matter the day, time, event, or condition, we respond to all types of emergencies in the greater Madison County area.

With over 40 active certified volunteer firefighters, we provide rigorous continuing education and training to ensure that all first responders are capable of handling whatever is demanded.

Fire Suppression

We take coordinated measures to extinguish the fire from the source, typically the interior of a structure and preventive steps to ensure the fire doesn't spread to the outside or surrounding structures.

Search & Rescue

The first thing on our minds is everyone's safety, including those who could be trapped. This is why search and rescue operations take place on nearly every fire-related call and are precoordinated before arriving.

Community Education

MVFR is committed to the safety and education of the communities we serve. Our goal is to provide the highest degree of life safety awareness training. We do this by spreading the message of fire prevention, safety awareness, and public education programs like community CPR, social media awareness, station tours, and more.
